DI REAL JAMAICAN JERK GRILL

Arriving in Qatar 9 years ago, I was a stay at home husband and the father of one son. After trying a few different things I finally found my passion and purpose which was cooking tasty food which my mother had taught me from an early age.I knew how to cook traditional Caribbean food but I would always try and put a twist and implement my own style on the presentation and taste.

After being complimented on my delicious food at various home events and encouraged by my wife, I spotted a niche in the market and decided to start my own jerk takeaway business from home. I perfected my recipes including my own jerk marinade and sweet sauces which are made from scratch. I have been serving up culinary jerk takeaway dishes from home for the last 3 years, which have received nothing but 5 stars from my loyal customers.

Now the father of 3 and the Founder of Ray’s Jerk Shack, the only Caribbean jerk cuisine in Qatar. I was alsofeatured in the Jamaica Observer newspaper which is not only causing a buzz here, but also back in Jamaica.

I have now secured a premises in which I aim to serve the wider population in Qatar, which in turn will help to boost the economy and put Jamaica on the map.
